We're Back

To be totally honest, we have kinda forgotten about the blog. Oops. With everything that has been going on lately, we hope that our lack of posts is understandable. It seems like the days are only 10 hours long, and the week is only four days long. It is hard to believe that tomorrow is March 1. Even crazier to think that our not so little girl will be five months old very soon.
It feels so good to see smiles every morning.
Gwen's congested nose has finally cleared up, what a mess that was. As a result, she has been sleeping so much better. Gwen has developed a great nightly routine. Bath at 7:30, last bottle at 8:00, and down for bed at 8:45ish. She did put up a fight at first when we would lay her down to sleep. But, throughout the last few weeks, she lays down and falls right asleep. What a relief for a couple of tired parents.
Blueberry candy cane.
Last week we started to introduce Gwen to semi-solid foods. Basically, rice cereal mixed with pear juice. It looks a lot like oatmeal, but unfortunately, smells nothing like it. Our doctor recommended pear juice because of how Gwen digests her food. We have been very proud of Gwen and her eating skills. A dab of the cereal on the end of the spoon, and Gwen went right for it. This week we have started giving Gwen green bean baby food too. Again, Gwen went right for it. The resulting green spit-up is not so pretty.
Chomping down on some cereal.
By now we are sure most of you have seen the picture below. We just want to clarify that the truck was parked. A couple of weeks ago we decided to check out the Salina Home Show at the Bi-Centennial Center. We would love to tell you about how great the home show was, however, it was a complete waste of time. Gwen had a good time being pushed around in her stroller, but that was about it. Before we left the parking lot Gwen let us know she wanted to eat, the picture below is a happy, full-bellied Gwen.
Super excited about driving with dad.
Lastly, Tamie and I have been busy preparing to move, mostly buying new things for our new home. On top of that, home inspections on both our current home and new home have been completed. Our anticipation for moving could not get any higher, and we still have three weeks to go. We will do our best in the mean time to keep everyone updated, until next time...
Looking confused about Valentines Day.
