Just Sayin' Hi!

Gwen felt like we needed to stop by and say 'hi' with some pictures. The following pictures are just a small sample of the pics that we have taken the last two weeks. We are still working on catching Gwen on video clapping or saying 'da da'. She does not want to cooperate at all when either Tamie or I get a phone out to take a picture or video. Smart little girl, and just like her dad!

The weather is changing, and Gwen is changing too. She absolutely loves her stuffed caterpillar. She often 'attacks' her caterpillar on the living room floor. The pic below is Gwen playing in her little pool for the first time. She loved cooling off and playing with her toys. Gwen enjoys splashing her mom and dad too!

As the weather continues to heat up, we find ourselves staying inside to play more and more with Gwen. Keeping her cooled off is priority for us lately. She gets hot and sweaty very easily, much like her hot and sweaty(stinky) father.

The picture above, is Gwen playing in her BIG pool. Luckily, our hot tub (big pool) accommodates the HOT Kansas weather. With just a push of a button, our hot tub becomes basically a small pool, much cooler water for our little girl to play in! Pictured below is Gwen and her friend Haley. The three of us recently partied with Haley and her family. The party was to celebrate another addition to Haley's family! In (early) September, Gwen will have another friend to play with! Richard and Megan Anderson are having a boy, William. Gwen loved hanging out with all of her friends!

Gwen's Playroom!

The three of us recently went for a quick visit down to Sedan to see Grandpa Tom and family. Our typically calm, happy daughter turned in to a crying and screaming mess while we were there, but it was great to see everyone. Gwen was so tired from the visit, that on the way home she didn't notice the horrible storm we drove through.

Smile for your close-up!
Gwen's daycare provider needed to take a few days off for family reasons. Lucky for Gwen, Tamie and I were able to flex our schedules and make things work during that time. Gwen spent two days at home with me, and two days with Tamie. The days spent with Tamie were spread out between home and work. That's right, Gwen went to WORK! She had a blast hanging out with Tamie's co-workers!

Working hard with mom at Farmers Alliance.
Outside of going to work with mom, Gwen has been developing a language of her own. Tamie and I have really enjoyed listening to Gwen's stories. We have heard it all it seems. Anything from: Da-Da, Ba-Ba, Bla-Bla-Bla, and even a few Ma-Ma's! Aside from developing her own language, and following a bit of a fever, Gwen managed to push a TOOTH out! And she's working on another tooth now!

Big smiles and telling stories!
Tamie and I spent some time this week in our basement putting together a play area for Gwen. We happened to find some puzzle piece padded flooring at Sams, of all places. After taking a guess at how much we needed for her floor, we ended up ordering a BUNCH more, our guess wasn't even close. But, we measured and got it all together last night. Our spoiled little daughter even has a TV to watch her Baby Can Read videos. She loves 'Itsy Bitsy Spider'!
