We hope you all had a very happy and safe 4th of July. We had a great day and enjoyed time with friends and of course our favorite little lady. Gwen and I went swimming in her pool the morning of the 4th, before it got too hot. Later, she took a nice long nap, then when Mike got home from work we went to the Benisch's house for a party. Gwen keeps us on a pretty early curfew, so we headed home shortly after 7 so we could get her bathed and ready for bed. Then, Mike and I went outside and enjoyed watching and shooting off a few fireworks with Adam.

Gwen and Bre playing in the wagon -- the girls were too busy to look up for a picture.
Today, we went to Gwen's 9 month check-up. The best part about this check-up was, NO SHOTS!! Mike and I were thinking Gwen had taken a pretty serious growth spurt and we were right. Little Miss weighed in at 19 lbs 7 oz and was 28 inches long, that puts her in the 90th percentile for her weight and 75th for her height (she's been 50/50 at all of her prior appointments)!
After Gwen's appointment we came home and played in the pool. I think that girl would stay in there all day if you'd let her.
Enjoying the cool water!
She's mastered her sippy cup and loves to drink water from it. We also made the mistake of giving her water from a regular cup, now every time we take a drink Gwen opens her mouth and waits for her sip.
Playing outside in her walker, she can go backwards pretty good, but doesn't quite have the forward roll down.
All dressed for another one of her "swims" -- we are hoping to take her to the water park one day next week . . . "Jay" says it's going to cool down and we're praying he's right!
